STEIFF AKC GOLDEN
RETRIEVER
The
Golden Retriever, also known as "Golden", originated in Scotland. Goldens love their
retrieving work and have great physical strength. They are happy, outgoing, devoted, and eager
companions. They have thick and glossy
water-repellent coats that range in color from deep to light honey-gold. Adult males will weigh about 65-75 pounds
while adult females will weigh 55-65 pounds. The Golden
Retriever
was first recognized by the AKC in 1925.

STEIFF AKC BLACK LABRADOR
The Labrador Retriever, commonly
referred to as the "Lab" originated in Newfoundland as a rugged dog
that helped fishermen pull in nets and even catch fish that escaped from
fishing lines. Of the breed's three color varieties - black, yellow, and
chocolate - black is the most popular. They are hardworking, playful, and full
of energy. Labs are gentle with children and the elderly. They have very
important
jobs in our society today as guides for the disabled,
search-and-rescue
dogs, and narcotics detectors. Their coat is short, dense, and waterproof.

The Poodle can be traced back to Germany
and France,
where the breed was used to retrieve birds from water. The Poodle is the
national dog of France.
The Poodle’s thick, curly coat may be styled in many different ways. The best
known style is the “continental clip”, a practical haircut for the
Poodle’s duties as a retriever. This
clip includes pompons, puffs, and bracelets to protect the dog’s joints in cold
water. Poodles are intelligent, elegant, and very active. They are also
politely reserved around strangers and can have a playful sense of humor. The Poodle
